So, keeping the story short for now, I was supposed to be spending a long weekend in New York with my husband. He was scheduled there for work and the room was paid for. We had been trying to reconcile since my 2/29 confrontation about the affair and I had bought plane tickets. Had reserved a rental car to pay for on arrival. All the time, planning on using our tax return for it. Made arrangements for the kids. Looked up info on local places to visit. Trying to have some fun instead of me being so "boring." Well, red flags started staring me in the face again. Bring on the arguments and finally his announcement that he was still in contact with "her" and wanted a divorce. So, now I have these plane tickets and no hotel room. Do I forget it and stay home or do I still go and have a great friggin' time all by myself? I want to go. Would love to take a friend and have a blast and post fun pictures on fb to rub his face in it. Too bad I have no funds to do it. But, I'd still be willing to go by myself! That's where I think that former and/or current betrayed spouses can come into play...who wants to help me stand up, get on my feet and have a spitefully good time?!?! All I need is a rental car, hotel room, and a little spending money...I'll share my little adventure with you here and you can live vicariously through me while I show him that he can't ruin me or my birthday trip. Oh yeah, it was supposed to be for my birthday. What a bunch of crap. So anyway, here's the deal, if I can come up with a couple hundred bucks by $1 or $2 or $5 at a time--whatever you can spare, I AM going, we have until Wednesday.
